It is understood that around 15 of these kits were produced in the 1980s and built up by owners/enthusiasts for their children - the car is said to be suitable for children of 7 - 12 years and up to 1.6 metres tall..
Measuring 2.5 metres long by 70 cm high, this is a high quality design with sophisticated mechanical specification matched with easy driver access through a gas strut supported front end opening.
So here is the opportunity to be part of that event this year or in the future - this is a rare opportunity - take it!
Acquired by its current French owner as part of his collection, the car could be part of any proud owner's collection but we would expect it would appeal especially to a Classic Le Mans enthusiast to allow one of their children to enter "Little Big Mans".
"Value has nothing to do with your age, passion neither. For one hundred or so kids, from 7 to 12 years old, the dream has come true. With a "Le Mans style" start just in front of the grandstands, the budding drivers from all over the world leap into their racing cars encouraged by a standing ovation from the public! These hundred or so mini replicas of the racing cars entered in the Little Big Mans are displayed in their own paddock specially dedicated to the kids, activities included.
The cars, produced in limited numbers or as one-offs, are powered by an internal combustion or electric engine and, for the most part, are faithful replicas of cars that have raced in the Le Mans 24 Hours. Among them are several Ferrari 330/P2s, Ford GT 40s, Chevrolet Corvettes, BMW 328s, Type 35 Bugattis, Porsche 550s, D-Type Jaguars, etc.
On Saturday 7th July in the early afternoon, the young drivers will set off for a lap of the Bugatti circuit after a Le Mans-type start. On Sunday, they will get back behind the wheel to do a tour of the Le Mans Classic village. This event, which is great fun for young and old alike, will end with a prize giving ceremony in the village."
